Dennis
Wong, co-founder of YOR Health, faced many challenges when growing up in
poverty. As a child of Chinese immigrants, Wong always felt like a lower-class
citizen – worthless and inadequate. Today, the highly self-confident
entrepreneur looks back at his struggles and explains the meaning of YOR IN.
Q: What was your biggest struggle growing up?
Dennis Wong: I faced many struggles, but my biggest struggle was school and learning.
Q: Why was that?
Dennis Wong: I suffered from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), which was pretty much unknown back then. I didn’t speak English and I hated taking tests because I was very slow and couldn’t even finish the test.
Dennis Wong: Yes, in fact, I still have nightmares about taking tests and getting the worst grade in the class. I always admired the student who walked out of the class first whenever we took a test.
Q: You are a very successful businessman today. How did you overcome your struggles?
Dennis Wong: We all have problems and issues. My struggle was that I had hard time learning. Fortunately, I became friends with a few people who were kind and smart. They helped me with my challenges in school.
Q: Did these mentors give you the confidence you needed to start YOR Health?
Dennis Wong: Yes. They really raised my consciousness for the future. Their support completely shifted my confidence in my ability to become successful in this world.
Q: How would you describe YOR Health’s main goal?
Dennis Wong: We want to Share Happiness by helping others raise their consciousness, because as humans, one of the most important things we have in common is that we all start out not being fully conscious. This can cause all sorts of problems, such as physical and emotional stress and pressure. My goal is to set people free of all struggles and challenges. YOR Health calls this amazing experience “YOR IN”.
Dennis Wong founded YOR Health in 2008. His passion is to promote physical, emotional, and financial well-being to clients around the globe.
