Kevin Cummings was your typical college student, often stuck in all-night study sessions and eating whatever free meals he could get from the campus cafeteria, says Dennis Wong. The YOR Health co-founder explains that Kevin’s new sedentary lifestyle and unlimited access to food caused the young man to gain 30 pounds by the end of his senior year. In the following post, Wong explains how Kevin got his body back.
Q: How did going to college change everything for Kevin Cummings?
Dennis Wong, YOR Health: As a teenager, Kevin was always active. He was involved in football, ran track, and was a promising baseball player. However, athletics was not Kevin’s main focus. A scholar at heart, Kevin buckled down on his studies when he entered college. He had never considered it, but Kevin was suddenly sitting still most of the time and eating unconsciously.
Q: Did social media have an influence on Kevin’s desire to lose weight?
Dennis Wong, YOR Health: Each day when Kevin checked his Facebook, he was bombarded with memories from previous years. By the time he was a senior, his “On This Day” Facebook app did little more than remind him that he had gained a substantial amount of weight.
Q: When did Kevin get involved with YOR Health?
Dennis Wong, YOR Health: Kevin had friends who were just getting started as representatives when he returned home from college. On their recommendation, Kevin ordered YOR Shake and YOR CompleteBurn.
Q: Has YOR Health helped Kevin manage his weight?
Dennis Wong, YOR Health: Initially, Kevin hoped to lose 10 pounds with YOR Health products. By the end of the second week, he stepped on the scale to find that he was 16 pounds down. This initial success encouraged Kevin and he has since lost a total of 31 pounds. Kevin has managed to keep it off by eating healthy foods and sticking with his YOR Shake once a day.
