Richard Peralta found health and healing with YOR Shake, says Dennis Wong of YOR Health in the following brief interview.
Q: What was Richard Peralta’s main fitness goal in his teens?
Dennis Wong, YOR Health: Richard wanted what many young men want, awe-inspiring six pack abs. From the time he was a junior in high school, Richard spent countless hours each week on what he calls “abnormal movements.” Despite a grueling routine of neck-cramping crunches and backbreaking situps, Richard never saw any definition in his abdomen. When he was 25, Richard found a new style of abdominal exercise that gave him the results he’d always dreamed of. His happiness was short-lived, however, thanks to a devastating accident that left him unable to exercise for two years.
Q: Did Richard’s accident affect his overall well-being?
Dennis Wong, YOR Health: It took two years for Richard to get the okay from his doctor to begin an exercise routine. During that time, Richard became depressed and turned to food for comfort. As a result, he gained substantial weight, developed numerous bad habits, and lost his cherished six-pack.
Q: How was exercise different after Richard recovered?
Dennis Wong, YOR Health: Once Richard got back to the gym, he realized he needed more time to recuperate after even a short run. He fell into a vicious cycle of “rest and recover” which stifled his ability to achieve any significant physical changes.
